What began as a relatively unremarkable house in the Palisades was transformed into a bold, contemporary home for a client seeking to reinvent her childhood residence. Working closely with architects Hsu McCullough, we introduced an unexpected mix of modern forms, expressive materials, and graphic details to give the home a distinctive new identity.

The architects exposed the existing vaulted ceilings, opened the floor plan, and thoughtfully connected the interiors to the surrounding outdoor spaces, maximizing opportunities for entertaining while creating an overall sense of openness and ease. We layered in custom furnishings, distinctive fixtures, and carefully considered cabinetry to bring depth, texture, and visual interest to every room. The result is a confident, highly personal home that balances its original character with a fresh, modern sensibility.
